Where can I make digital payments?

You can make digital payments at businesses that accept contactless payments, some apps and online shopping. You can pay with ATH Móvil in businesses that are registered and accept this as a payment option.

 

Where can't I make digital payments?

You can't make your digital payment at ATMs or at any payment machine where you must physically insert a card. Also, you can’t pay with ATH Móvil in unregistered businesses or businesses that to no accept ATH Móvil as a payment option.

 

What are the benefits of digital wallets?

When you make a digital transaction, you add more security for your online shopping. It’ll protect your card information when changing your details with the token. Also, your card number should never be shared with a business or be saved in your device.

 

How does digital wallet technology work?

When you register your Oriental card on a digital wallet or a smartwatch, the real number of your card is replaced with a unique digital number called “token”. This token is used for online transactions and when paying through these mobile devices (Samsung Pay™, Garmin Pay™).

 

How will I see the transactions I make with digital wallets or smartwatches on my statement?

You will see all digital purchases that were made through your Oriental debit/credit card on your account statement, just like your charges on your physical cards.

Credit cards are subject to credit approval. Transactions are subject to the availability of money in your accounts.

(1) The use of Apple Pay is subject to the available balance on the credit or debit card linked to the Apple Wallet. The region set on the device must be a region where Apple Pay has been implemented. To carry out transactions via Apple Pay, a mobile device with internet access is required. Messaging and data charges from the wireless service provider may apply. Visit the Apple Support website to learn about compatible devices and the list of regions with the service. At this moment Apple Pay is not available in the USVI region. Oriental Bank is not responsible for failures with providers that may affect the transactionality of the service. (2) ATH Móvil and People Pay transfers may impact the transaction limits established for savings accounts, which will incur in a fee for each transaction in excess of the disclosed limit. Visit ATH Móvil for terms and conditions and a list of participating institutions. ATH Móvil is a service of the ATH® Network of EVERTEC Group, LLC. To make payments with People Pay you must be registered in Online Banking (requires registration at orientalbank.com). The People Pay service has a payment limit of $2,000 per transaction and $4,000 per day. For more details, see the People Pay Terms and Conditions here.

 

(3) Subject to approval and availability in your line of credit and balances in the account linked to the debit card. Certain terms, conditions, and restrictions may apply depending on the provider selected among Samsung Pay, Google Pay and Garmin Pay. Oriental Bank is not responsible for failures or problems with providers that may prevent you from making a transaction. We reserve the right to remove the use of any of the providers at our discretion. The mentioned providers use internet data to carry out the transactions.
